#ELECTIONCOUNTDOWN

Running over six weeks in the countdown to the Local Elections 2022, we provided teachers with bite-size information tailored specifically for sixth-form students (16 - 18 year olds) who will be registering to vote and voting for the first time. The aim of the #ElectionCountdown series is to help empower teachers to inform and inspire their students to have the confidence and knowledge to get involved in the local elections, and most importantly, understand the power of their own voice, and how important it is for them to use it 🗳️ Over the sessions, different topics and themes were covered weekly via short and accessible resources for teachers to share and work through with their students. These resources were designed for form time and to provide an engaging introduction to the local elections process.
