#ELECTIONCOUNTDOWN

Running over six weeks in the countdown to the Local Elections 2023, we will provide teachers, youth workers and practitioners with bite-size information tailored specifically to support young people who will be engaging with elections for the first time. The aim of the #ElectionCountdown series is to help empower educators to inform and inspire young people to have the confidence and knowledge to get involved in the local elections and to vote and register to vote if they are old enough to do so. Importantly, we want young people to understand the power of their own voice, and how important it is for them to use it 🗳️ Over the sessions, different topics and themes will be covered weekly via short and accessible resources. These resources were designed to be delivered in 10-15 minutes and provide an engaging introduction to the local elections process.
