An introduction to politics, democracy and voting. Students learn about how politics affects their lives and who represents them.
Students will explore how democracy works in their community and learn about the concept of suffrage, the history and future of democracy, or the voting systems used in their nation.
Students will explore the role of voting by preparing for and participating in a debate.
Students will learn about political campaigning and will explore what influences people to vote.
Students will work together to develop a campaign that encourages young people to register to vote.
Students will present their voter registration campaigns, reflect on what makes a successful campaign, and have the opportunity to register to vote.
