How to Vote
The Electoral Commission has worked in collaboration with the Children’s Commissioner for Wales and the Senedd Commission to create new resources to help young people learn about how to vote, so they feel confident to participate in the 2026 Senedd election.
This scheme of work helps young people understand how to register and vote at a Senedd election.
How to Vote (English)
A lesson plan that explores how to vote in depth. Supported by some short activities to start the conversation about the 2026 Senedd Election and how to vote.
The lesson can be taught individually or as the third one of three, preceded by the Children's Rights and the Senedd Election lesson and The Senedd - Your Voice, Your Vote lesson, depending on the time available and which topics are most suitable for your learners.
