VotesforSchools' mission is simple: we want children and young people to be informed, curious, and heard.
We seek to achieve this by allowing our voters to have a say on the issues that matter to them, and those which will affect them in the future. They build a respect for democratic action and an understanding of the power of youth voice by participating in our sessions on a weekly basis. These sessions then conclude with a vote, the results of which are then collated and shared with changemakers, influential bodies, and experts, massively raising the profile of youth voice.
In the last year, our VoteTopics have spanned radicalisation to organ donation, local elections to music streaming, and we have had votes on these issues from as many as 30,000 5-18-year olds around the UK.
