Young people told us that they can feel disconnected from politics, but political decisions made by adults directly shape their lives.

Our Generation. Our Vote. is a political literacy education programme culminating in a mass-scale election specifically for young people under 18. It took place across England and Wales in the lead up to the 2024 UK General Election, through a partnership of organisations across the youth democracy and education sectors.

This free project has been an exciting opportunity to support children and young people to have their say and share their views on the issues they care about.

It gave children and young people the chance to cast a vote for parliamentary candidates in their area. Educational resources, curriculum linked sessions, workshops, and youth-friendly manifestos designed to build young people’s understanding of the political process were provided. The deadline for registering and submitting votes has passed but resources can still be accessed via the Schemes of Work below.

If you have questions please contact team@ourgenerationourvote.org.uk

*This project, and all resources and activities within it, are politically impartial.
